Sheriff Investigating Wednesday Shooting Near Highway 6, Suspect Cooperating
McLennan County authorities are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday evening near Highway 6, leaving one man hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds. The suspected shooter is cooperating with officials, but no arrests have been made.
A shooting took place Wednesday evening close to Highway 6 and Farm-to-Market Road 185, resulting in one individual being hospitalized with several gunshot wounds. McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara confirmed that the incident was potentially related to road rage.
Sheriff McNamara stated that the suspected shooter has been identified and interviewed by officials. However, as of Thursday afternoon, no arrests had been made in connection with the event as the investigation continues.
The victim was reported to be in stable condition immediately following the shooting on Wednesday at approximately 6 p.m. Sheriff McNamara did not provide an update on the man's current condition as of Thursday.
