Quick Response to Early Morning Blaze on Savannah Court
A residential fire on Savannah Court Saturday morning prompted a significant response from Waco Fire, with one occupant safely evacuating the premises. Authorities urge residents to maintain functional fire alarms.

Waco Fire Department units responded to a house fire on Savannah Court bright and early Saturday, approximately at 5:35 a.m. The blaze impacted both the first and second stories of the residence.
Due to the homeowner's belongings filling the garage, additional fire units were dispatched as a precautionary measure. In total, 15 units and 35 firefighters were involved in extinguishing the fire.
Thankfully, the sole individual present in the home at the time of the incident managed to escape unharmed.
Waco Fire officials are taking this opportunity to remind the community about the critical importance of having working smoke detectors, emphasizing their role in saving lives.
